Grant, we beseech thee, merciful LORD, to thy faithful people pardon and peace, that they may be cleansed from all their sins, and serve thee with a quiet mind, through JESUS Christ our LORD. Amen.
St. Mark the Evangelist Anglican Church
A Reformed Episcopal Mission of Belonging, Believing, and Becoming
We are a welcoming, liturgical, sacramental church committed to proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ. St. Mark’s is a traditional “High Church” community of the Anglican tradition, using the 1928 Book of Common Prayer in our worship.
We are dedicated to serving the people of Waxahachie and Ellis County by serving the poor, the marginalized, and all those who hunger and thirst for the nourishing richness of traditional worship and the orthodoxy of the Faith of the Apostles.
About St. Mark’s
We are committed to the teachings of the Undivided Faith. We serve the Triune God: The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – our salvation is found in Him alone, in and through Christ’s passion, death, mighty resurrection, and glorious ascension. We accept fully the changeless Faith of the Early Church. We profess that Holy Scripture contains all things necessary for salvation. We affirm the three ancient Creeds of the Church (Apostles’ Creed, Nicene Creed, and Athanasian Creed) as the right interpretation of Scripture and the foundational tenets which one must believe in order to be a Christian.
St. Mark’s faithfully celebrates the Holy Sacraments, participating in the grace that God pours out upon His Church through them. We recognize Holy Baptism and Holy Communion (also called the Holy Eucharist and the Lord’s Supper) as ordained by Christ Himself and necessary for salvation.

Our formularies of "the Faith once delivered" compel us to be faithful witnesses of a traditionally historic, Anglican theology, liturgy, and piety. We worship in accordance with the 1928 Book of Common Prayer and the 2017 Book of Common Praise, with a particular focus on the ancient and reformed hymnody of the Church.
